Sales Development Representative

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid Work Schedule) 
Department: Sales 
Reports To: Sales Manager / Director of Sales 

Salary: $40k to $50k plus commission 

Role Summary: 
We are seeking an energetic and results-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Houston-based team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for sales and technology who thrives on prospecting, qualifying leads, and driving pipeline growth. The SDR will play a crucial role in supporting our growing team of five sales reps and contributing to the overall success of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Research and identify potential customers within the unified communications market, focusing on Microsoft Teams Rooms and Teams Calling opportunities. 
  • Proactively reach out to prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce our solutions and schedule meetings for the sales team. 
  • Qualify inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns, ensuring they meet criteria for handoff to sales representatives. 
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop targeted outreach strategies for key accounts. 
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, leads, and progress in CRM (e.g., HubSpot). 
  • Stay informed about unified communications trends, Microsoft Teams technologies, and our product portfolio to effectively communicate value to prospects. 
  • Work in a hybrid capacity, balancing time between remote work and in-office collaboration. 

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in unified communications, IT, or technology solutions. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Teams Calling is a strong plus. 
  • Proven ability to research and connect with prospects in a professional and engaging manner. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting and exceeding activity targets. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a talent for crafting compelling outreach messages. 
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and other sales enablement tools. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to grow within a high-performing team.
