Financial Data Analyst
Our Financial Data Analyst will be a driving force in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and operational data to provide insights that support decision-making across the organization. This role combines the responsibilities of both financial and data analysis, requiring a deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and data analytics. The Financial Data Analyst will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to create financial models, analyze trends, visualize data, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc operational and financial reports for analysis of key performance indicators.
- Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets, and explain deviations.
- Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Data Collection & Cleaning:
- Gather financial and operational data from various internal and external sources.
- Ensure data integrity through cleaning and validating data sets, addressing inconsistencies and missing information.
- Performance data transformation, cleansing and manipulation to provide various views of the data
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess potential business scenarios, risks, and opportunities.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze financial and non-financial data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
- Use statistical techniques to perform in-depth analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide ad-hoc reports for various departments, delivering actionable insights.
- Data Visualization:
- Create clear and concise visual reports, dashboards, and presentations using tools in Excel and Power BI.
- Communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders, enabling strategic decision-making.
- Cost & Efficiency Analysis:
- Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiencies by analyzing financial and operational data.
- Collaborate with teams to track and measure the financial impact of business initiatives.
- Market & Investment Analysis:
- Conduct research on market trends, industry benchmarks, and economic factors that may impact business performance.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and assess risks and returns to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, or a similar field.
Technical Skills:
- Data Analysis Tools: Extensive experience with Excel and Power Bi.
- Financial Tools: Proficiency in financial reporting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Analytical Skills:
- Strong ability to analyze complex financial and operational data.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.
- Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.
- Some programming and SQL knowledge is a plus
