LifeSize Expands Video Collaboration with Microsoft UC Platforms

LifeSize becomes one of the first video conferencing vendors to qualify for Microsoft Office Communications Server interoperability, with streamlined integration of video, email, chat, and phone into a single user interface.

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 7, 2011 — LifeSize®, a division of Logitech (Nasdaq: LOGI) (SIX: LOGN) announced today a far reaching expansion of its video collaboration offerings with Microsoft UC platforms. This solution offers immediate operability with Microsoft Lync, with increased qualification and interoperability within the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2™ planned for the 2011 calendar year.

Availability and Upcoming Qualifications for OCS Interoperability

The LifeSize solution offers immediate interoperability with Microsoft® Lync™, with many support features for Microsoft Office Communications Server including:

• Authentication and Encryption (TLS/SRTP)
• Firewall/NAT Traversal via Microsoft Edge Services.
• Auto-configuration: when a system is registered to OCS, auto-configuration simplifies end user deployment.
• Unified presence status: Calls can be made and received from a single Office Communications Server account between multiple devices, both LifeSize and PC.
• Addition of LifeSize systems to Microsoft Office Communicator contact and buddy lists, and vice-versa.
• Call placement from LifeSize systems to third-party systems within OCS.
