SAN JOSE, CA. (June 8, 2011) --- Bittel Electronics today announced its new MediaPhone solution, combining for the first time a desktop connectivity panel, a full-featured guest room telephone and an alarm clock/radio. Geared for hotels wishing to provide both connection capabilities for guest-carried devices, as well as critical communications solutions, MediaPhone is the first device of its kind in the hospitality industry.
Featuring a range of connection options, MediaPhone’s top-mounted ports are covered by a protective cover that keeps jacks and sockets out of the way until needed. Incorporating an iPod®/iPhone® docking station, MediaPhone enables guests to enjoy media carried on their personal devices easily on the in-room television or entertainment system. A single HDMI connection provides communication with a wide range of industry-standard hospitality televisions. Auto-Sense technology automatically switches compatible televisions to the correct mode or source, depending on the content and device that is plugged into MediaPhone. USB charging ports, A/V ports, power outlet, and more provide guests with convenient access to the connections they need.
MediaPhone is also a full-featured guestroom telephone with DECT handset. Dual faceplate areas on provide ample space for hotel branding and messaging, along with important guest service information. MediaPhone’s styling is consistent with the award-winning Bittel UNO line of guestroom telephony solutions. An alarm clock/radio with hospitality-specific features such as one-day alarm and automatic daylight savings time adjust is also included in MediaPhone.
