The SharePoint/Office 365 Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment, with a strong emphasis on SharePoint Online. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to design, build, and support solutions that enhance productivity, govern information, and align with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration & Maintenance
- Provision, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, site collections, and Microsoft 365 groups.
- Manage user accounts, licensing, and security groups within Azure AD and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Monitor service health, performance metrics, and usage analytics; troubleshoot incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Governance & Compliance
- Develop and enforce governance policies for site lifecycle, permissions, information architecture, and data retention.
- Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., MFA, conditional access) and data protection regulations.
- Solution Development
- Design and implement custom SharePoint site templates, workflows (Power Automate), and forms (Power Apps) to automate business processes.
- Integrate Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and other Office 365 services with SharePoint to streamline collaboration.
- Support & Training
- Serve as the primary escalation point for SharePoint/Office 365 issues; provide tier-2/3 support.
- Develop documentation, runbooks, and training materials; deliver end-user training sessions and workshops.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and best practices; recommend and pilot new features.
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs, licensing, and resource utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 licensing, security groups, and compliance features.
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and bulk administrative tasks.
- Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) and their integration with SharePoint.
