On May 18, 2010, Plantronics announced that they expanded support for IBM Sametime customers with the availability of enhanced software for both IBM Lotus Sametime and Sametime Unified Telephony (SUT). This free software (a plug-in for Sametime version 8.02 and 8.5 clients) enhances the voice experience via intelligent call controls that allow the user to be truly hands free! The enhanced capabilities for wireless headset users include: call answer/end, remote ring detection and volume and mute control, providing a more productive and collaborative working environment.
These capabilities extend to Plantronics’ UC headsets including the latest Voyager® PRO UC Bluetooth and Savi® Office wireless headsets, enabling users to switch conversations between multiple devices, such as the PC or mobile phone, directly from the headset with a single button press.
