Coming Soon: Unified App and Agent Installation Across Microsoft 365 Admin Centers

Starting around August 2026, admins will be able to set app and agent installation policies once, in either the Microsoft 365 admin center or the Teams admin center, and have them enforced consistently across Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Today those settings are in two disjoint places: changes in the M365 admin center only reach Outlook and Microsoft 365, while Teams admin center changes only apply to Teams, forcing admins to configure everything twice. This update removes that duplication, which matters most for if you are rolling out Copilot agents, since deployment becomes a single action.
